City Council to Discuss Hiring New Police Officer

The Lexington City Council will meet in Regular Session on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. at the Woodson Community Center. The agenda includes discussion and possible action to approve paying bills for the month and April and to amend the 2008/ 2009 budget.

There will be a special presentation to Mayor Robert Willrich, Sr. Andrew Hawkins will present a report on the new city hall and Brian Flowers will report on the sewer job. The council will discuss and possibly take action to interview and hire a police officer due to resignation. They will also discuss and possibly take action on appointing LPD Chief Davenport as Building Official.

The City Council will convene into Executive Session to deliberate the evaluation of a city employee, Dewanna Bownds, and then reconvene into Public Session to act upon the evaluation.

Pam Cox will present the Financial/Budget Report and Chief Davenport will present the Police Report.
