New Veteran's Clinic to Open in La Grange

Fayette County Judge Ed Janecka said, "After 5 long years of working to get a veteran's clinic, I am happy to announce that there will be a Veterans Clinic in La Grange to serve veterans from all surrounding counties."

Sterling Medical Corporation operates 17 VA clinics and was awarded the bid for the clinic. The new clinic will be located at 890 East Travis Street. Dr. Patrick Clements will be the Medical Director and Sterling will be hiring a physician's assistant, nurse practioner, a medical assistant who is also a phlebotomist, a registered nurse, a certified nurse's assistant and a medical clerk. The clinic hopes to open August 1st of this year.

There will be a separate room for women's health and the V.A. will schedule specialists to come in to attend to the veterans' needs. Sterling will be contracting with St. Mark's Medical Center in La Grange to perform blood work and other related services.

Sterling Medical Services is expecting to serve an estimated 800 to 1,000 veterans at this clinic.
