Fayette County Country Opry

The Fayette County Country Music Club will host their monthly Opry on Monday, May 18, 2009 at the KC Hall in La Grange. The show starts at 7:30 P.M. and the doors will open at 5:30 P.M. Admission is only $5.00. The Opry is brought to you by the Fayette County Country Music Club, which is dedicated to the promotion of good country music. This month we are featuring:

SEALE SISTERS Hannah (24), Elisabeth (22), Deborah (18) and Abigail (16) have been singing together since 2001. They love singing together for the Lord at every opportunity they get and their passion shines through their music. The girls have performed in many venues including singing at the State Capitol Prayer Rally for Legislators in Austin last April. They have also recently received the "Horizon Group of the Year" Award from South Texas Gospel Music Assoc.

JOHN MIKULIN after high school joined the US Navy and proudly served in first Gulf War for almost 10 years. He started singing at a very early age in the church choir, but it was not until his 3rd year in the Navy that he really started to perform in front of a crowd. He is currently with The Texas Knights Band out of College Station and performs all over the Brazos Valley.

GLADYS GIESE is from Warda and has loved to sing most of her adult life. In the mid-80's she purchased a guitar to accompany her. She has been a member of the Opry since its beginning. She also entertains at the area nursing homes and sings for weddings. She has two CD's "Never Say Never and Never and Never Say Never Again.

CASEY LEANNE WALTHALL is from Inez, Texas. She has been performing since the age of 4. She started on the Victoria Country Opry and since then performed thru out of Texas, Kansas, Nashville and Branson. Casey is a country girl all the way. You will find her out working cattle, building fences, hauling hay or driving a tractor. She is also a member of The Outlaw Mounted Drill Team out of Goliad.

CHRIS RYBAK is one of the most popular accordion entertainers in Texas and can be found performing all across the state throughout the year. Combining his love of music, strong Czech Heritage, and rousing charisma, this accordion cowboy has what it takes to entertain audiences through his showmanship and fresh enthusiastic musical style. Chris's show utilizes his talents on the accordion, along with the keyboard, a trumpet and vocals. He has charmed countless audiences of all ages, opinions and musical tastes, as he plays over 150 dates a year that include everything from the Texas Folklife Festival in San Antonio, the German Wurstfest in New Braunfels, Labor Day's Czech West Fest in Central Texas and many others. He also has taken his music multiple times to Europe, including appearances in the Czech Republic, Germany and Slovakia (the homeland of his beautiful wife Edita).
