The Lexington Rotary Club Completes Book Drive

The Lexington Rotary Club recently completed a book drive for schools and libraries in South Africa through the Second Wind Foundation. Rotary Clubs from across the nation provide gently used books and pay for shipment to several countries in Africa. The steel shipping containers used to carry the books are then converted to health clinics and school rooms. Pictured above are Frank Partee and Chuck Holt of the Lexington Rotary Club delivering approximately 6,000 lbs of books from Lexington to a warehouse on the Houston Ship Channel.
