Sheriff 's Report

April 13, 2009

A resident reported that a vehicle just rolled over in her driveway. She lives on Hwy 21 West. Deputy Robertson and Deputy Carvin assisted Trooper Manner at the scene.

A caller advised that his horse fell over on his 10 year old son and he needed help. Dime Box fire department was paged out and Deputy Robertson and Deputy Carvin. A few minutes later the father called back to report that he was able to get his son out from under the horse and he is taking him to the hospital.

Deputy Robertson was dispatched to put goats up that were out on Hwy 77 North approx … mile north of C.R. 114.

April 14, 2009

The Sheriff's Office assisted with a funeral escort from Immanuel to the main entrance at the city cemetery.

Deputy Easley met with a complainant and took a report of terroristic threat. The complainant reported that her boyfriend has been abusive towards her for the past two weeks.

A caller reported that a white Ford Taurus was parked on the side of the road on F.M. 141. Deputy Durenberger was dispatched and advised that the vehicle had broken down and a tow truck was on the scene.

Deputy Durenberger was dispatched to the jail to assist the jailers with a combative inmate. The inmate was transported to the violent cell for his own safety.

A motorist reported cows out on Hwy 77 North before the Middle Yegua. The cow was put up and the owner was notified that his fence was down.

The Sheriff's Office received a call about a suspicious dark colored vehicle that was parked in an oil well pad on C.R. 138. Deputy Easley reported that the vehicle had left prior to his arrival.

Deputy Durenberger and Deputy Easley were dispatched to a residence on C.R. 230 regarding a juvenile problem. The mother reported that her 12 year old son had assaulted her and spit in her husband's face.

April 15, 2009

Deputy Pettijohn was dispatched to a silver Dodge truck that was parked in the ditch on F.M. 448. The vehicle had left the area.

A female caller reported that her husband had hit her in her face. Deputy Pettijohn responded to the disturbance on C.R. 226. When the deputy arrived the male subject ran off into the woods. The subject was located and arrested.

Chief Deputy Kothmann put up a calf that was out on Hwy 21 just west of FM 141.

Captain Gonzales and Deputy Aderhold assisted with a funeral escort which was at Christ Lutheran.

A female walked into the Sheriff's Office and requested a civil standby at her boyfriend's residence so she could gather her belongings. Deputy Aderhold assisted.

Deputy Durenberger was dispatched to a residence on C.R. 122 to check on two sheep that had no food or water. Investigation continues.

A motorist reported approx six head of cattle out on FM 696 East. Deputy Pettijohn responded and put the cattle back into the pasture.

April 16, 2009

A resident on C.R. 336 reported that several items from her residence had been stolen and she knows who took them. Deputy Aderhold was dispatched to the scene.

Deputy Crockett attempted to locate a small orange car with a flashing yellow light driving around FM 141. The vehicle was not located in the area.

Deputy Easley, Deputy Durenberger and Deputy Carvin were dispatched to a suicidal subject on FM 1697. The brother advised that he had a butcher knife in his hands. The deputies were able to calm the subject down and he was evaluated by MHMR.

A resident on CR 205 reported to Deputy Durenberger that a gold colored F250 with body damage has been driving down CR 205 very recklessly. Deputies will be patrolling the area.

A caller reported a Longhorn bull out on Hwy 21 West one mile east of the Bastrop County line. Deputy Pettijohn and Deputy Durenberger responded and the bull was removed from the road.

April 17, 2009

Deputy York put up several cows that were out at Nails Creek Bridge and FM 1697.

A caller reported three cows out on FM 696 East just outside the Lexington city limits. Deputy Aderhold was dispatched.

Deputy Aderhold was dispatched to a business alarm. The manager was contacted and everything was okay.

Deputy York responded to an oil pump on CR 203 that was struck by lightning and caught fire. Giddings and South Lee Fire Departments were dispatched.

A motorist called in a one vehicle accident on Hwy 21 @ CR 440. Deputy Aderhold was dispatched along with B&M ambulance.

A passing motorist reported six head of cattle out on CR 114. Deputy Carvin responded and put up the cattle.

Deputy Robertson and Deputy Carvin assisted a female who believes she is being harassed by her ex boyfriend and his father. Deputies spoke to the complainant advised everything was okay.

Deputy Easley and Deputy Robertson searched for a vehicle that was reported to be weaving all over the roadway on Hwy 290. The deputies looked for the vehicle and waited at the Bastrop County line but did not locate any vehicle matching the description given.

April 18, 2009

A local delivery man reported a pick up rolled over at the creek on CR 329. He advised no one was inside or around the vehicle. The license plate was checked by Deputy Pettijohn. DPS was notified and given the information.

Deputy York spoke to a female who reported that a subject she has a protective order on is violating it. A report was made and investigation continues.

The Sheriff's Office received numerous hang up calls from a female child. The phone she was using was not activated and could only call 9-1-1. After the female juvenile began to curse at the dispatcher, Deputy Aderhold was dispatched to the residence the calls were coming from and spoke to the juvenile.

Deputy York reported to dispatch that someone had illegally dumped a washer on CR 309 @ FM 1624. Investigation continues.

Several callers reported a one vehicle accident on FM 448 near Rabb's Creek. Deputy Robertson assisted DPS. The driver was found to be uncooperative and intoxicated. Subject was arrested and booked into Lee County Jail.

A female caller on CR 133 advised that a male subject was on her property and was causing problems. He was refusing to leave and then got into his vehicle and attempted to run over her animals. Deputies reported that the male had left prior to their arrival. A report was made and charges are pending.

Deputy York put up cows that were out on Hwy 290 East just outside the city limits.

April 19, 2009

Deputy York spoke to a complainant who reported that a female had some of his property and refused to give it back to him. The matter was resolved.

A motorist reported a possible drunk driver in a blue Dodge van that had just entered into Lee County from Fayette County. Deputy Aderhold was unable to locate the vehicle.

A caller advised that his brother was at his residence again and was refusing to leave. He believes he is trying to steal an edger from him. Deputy York and Deputy Aderhold were dispatched.
