TEACH Open House
Information about obtaining alternative teaching certification through the Blinn College Teacher Education Alternative Certification Host (TEACH) program will be available at open house sessions on all four campuses in April.
The Blinn TEACH program provides training for persons who hold a bachelor's degree with a solid foundation in their chosen teaching area. The program offers certifications in mathematics, life science, physical science, science, Spanish, French, special education, generalist, bilingual generalist, English language arts, reading and social studies, and English as a second language generalist.
The first open house is on April 15 in Bryan 6-8 p.m. in the Student Center Building, room 211. The Sealy campus will host an open house 6:30-7:30 p.m. on April 20 in the room 109. The open house in Brenham will be held 6-8 p.m. on April 22 in Student Center rooms 2 and 3. And the session on the Schulenburg campus is 5:30-6:30 p.m. on April 23 in room 120.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be certified to teach in Texas. The deadline for application for the next cohort is July 17. Interviews will be held on the Brenham campus on July 31.
