44th Annual Lexington Homecoming Is First Weekend in May

Homecoming is fast approaching. We are in the final stretch of planning for our 44th Annual Lexington Homecoming scheduled for the first weekend in May. Folks are calling in from many points in Texas requesting space for craft booths. Local civic and school organizations are making their plans to have food and game booths. Organizers for the rodeos, BBQ cook-off, 5K run/walk, parade, car show, art exhibit, horse shoe/washers, and antique tractor show are laying the groundwork for the events.

We are really excited to announce the entertainment for this year. On Friday night, The Crop Dusters out of Elgin are providing the entertainment from 8PM to Midnight and then on Saturday night, Ricky Calmbach and Texas Standard Time is providing the entertainment from 9PM - 1AM.

What began in 1966 as a one day event to host those who came back home to attend the churches of their childhood has evolved into a four day event which includes many fun and different activities. The schedule, contact information, as well as applications for various activities, is available on the internet at www.lexingtontexas.com. Check this site out to read about what's going on around our town. We are really looking forward to this year's event. We hope all of you will come out, bring your family and friends and help celebrate and continue this wonderful tradition.
